York Minster
Stepline Original was chosen as the safety stair strips on this prestigious project for York Minster due to its design, flexibility performance and ease of installation.
The flexibility of the Stepline stair strips is perfect for cutting in to curved stone and it’s durability is key when dealing with heavy footfall. York Minister has been an iconic landmark of the City, build in 637 AD. Therefore creating the right look for the steps was a key priority. In addition it is worth noting over 6.8 million visitors tread these steps annually, so being able to withstand heavy foot traffic was also a must.
The curves achieved with Stepline Original in black created an added feature against the creamy beige coloured stone, as well as providing a strong contrast for safety purposes. We are delighted to play some part in creating a safe visitor experience to this iconic national treasure.
